A rather cool vintage like 2010, but with a lot of moisture in the spring which generated a lot of mildew in some vineyards. A vintage sort imperatively except for vines from large well ventilated soils. This phenomenon occurred in most major wine regions around us.
Whites seem to be in line with 2008 and 2010 so beautiful. Early red like Pinot appear close to 2010 with a very nice fruit and good acidity. In contrast, red Humagnes the Cornalins and Syrah seem to have a bit less of phenological maturity in 2011 and also in 2010. The purity of the fruit will probably get some very nice wines in the Valais with a farming suitable for those who as always have low yields and have mastery of wood. Livestock at this stage ie in June 2013 seems to confirm the promises of a year that still mark progress in some of our vintages.
